Travelling // Marbella Hotel Corfu, Greece

Marbella Corfu View
Marbella Corfu is a five star hotel that completely blew our mind.

Through blogging I got many wonderful travel experiences that I am utterly grateful for; last year in Barcelona and this time in this luxury hotel that is located in the Agios Ioannis Peristeron area, sourthern of the town of Corfu and only 20 minutes away from the airport. As soon as we landed we popped into a taxi and got our way towards this beautiful resort (in case you are not a taxi fan, there is a regular bus service running from Corfu town to Marbella and backwards daily).

My favourite spot for the rest of the day ^-^

We were offered a family room with a veranta over-viewing the garden and the sea. The room had a clear, elegant & minimalist decoration that was in accordance with the exterior architecture of the building.

A welcoming notice along with some treats was left for us on bed and after a four hours flight the day called for nice view and a glass of chilly champagne.

Coffee lover Steven was like a dog with two tails when he realised we have a coffee machine in the room, needless to say he had more than three cappuccinos per day!

I have a thing for hotel bathrooms and I was over the moon happy to see a bunch of organic Apivita amenities near the sink (did I also mention that there was a bathroom in each room?). Felt like Christmas for a moment!

Excited and inpatient as I am, I wanted to explore more of the grounds, so we spent the rest of our day walking and getting lost around the levels and facilities of the hotel. Basically once you visit Marbella you start wandering and find beauty in any direction. I was thoroughly impressed by the dining & bars areas; there are so many choices to satisfy all tastes and preferences for the international guests. It’s hard to not give in! Down right my street was the Belvedere Bar, the main bar of the hotel with a breathtaking, panoramic view over the hotel premises. Steven, on the other hand, loved the Splash American Diner, which has admittedly a very interesting interior design of red sofas, black & white tiles and retro art on the walls (more on this will follow in a near post).

We ended up boozing at the bar, watching the sunset while snacking on tapas before getting ready for dinner and it turned out to be one of the best evenings I had in a while. On this note I have to share a friendly tip with you all guys, get a cardigan with you when thinking of spending the night next to the beach/pool, you can thank me later!
