Hello friends and welcome to another instalment of The Friday Edit blogger Series where I talk a bit about what has happened in Aberdeen lately and anything that caught my attention!
ONE// First of all, let me tell you how EXCITED I am to have all these lovely contributors on board! I haven’t written a proper post to introduce you to the Natbee’s team but you can have a look at the ‘Meet the Team’ page for a sneak peek! I am so deeply honoured to work with all these wonderful people, they all add something new to the Natbee’s content and I am looking forward to what the future holds for all of us!
TWO// Other exciting stuff that have happened this week is working with Farrow and Ball on the renovation of my living room and bedroom. As I type this, the colour card that I ordered yesterday lies over the coffee table and I am thrilled about the prospect of having a beautiful flat soon-ish (I say soon-ish because painting is not my strongest skill so it might take me a bit longer than expected). I will be documenting the process on the blog and over my Instagram Stories so if you are into interior design and deco then maybe you’d like to follow along!
THREE// Dog jackets! It’s that time of the year again, that as the leaves get red and the air gets chillier, my gorgeous Jack Russell, Cruz, is finally keen on wearing his jackets and I am of course obsessively looking for more beautiful doggy clothes online. If you have any suggestions please let me know! I’d love to discover some more brands 🙂
FOUR// Aberdeen blogger events. After a rather quiet summer, Aberdeen blogger events, restaurant openings and cafe launches are in full swing! I have never been busier – literally every day I am being invited to a new, interesting place! As a blogger, my schedule develops around retailer schedules and the last quarter of the year is the most busy one. This week and only I had to attend three different events, and even though I am not blogging about events anymore, I always make a good evening out of them with my Aberdeen blogger friends. I don’t know if I will be able to attend more events, the more projects land in my inbox, so I am thankful for my contributors that can sometimes cover for me and still keep me updated, so I can keep you updated about everything and anything in Aberdeen city.
FIVE// I try to keep this place as positive as I can, but Rachael Bland’s death this week was a shocking reminder not to take things for granted. Life can be unexpectedly short, so tonight I want to encourage you all to check your breasts and hug your loved ones. It doesn’t matter if you are a male or female, breast cancer does not discriminate. I am the first to admit that I absolutely hate checking myself but I make a conscious effort and do it after losing close friends due to this nasty C word. So please be aware, check yourself and ask your mother, sister, friends to do so too. There is no shame in discussing about things as such and I hope you don’t mind me for saying this here.
SIX// Speaking of empowering women, have you seen my vlog about the RBS 100 Women in Aberdeen event the other day? Emma Gannon along with Tytti and other female entrepreneurs talked about their struggles and successes and I’ve heard some of the most motivating speeches in my life! Here is the vlog if you wanna have a look:
That’s all from me now!
I hope you all have a great weekend. Aberdeen is supposed to be rainy so I hope the weather is better on your side.
