Beauty // The Mastic Spa hand cream

Mastic is one of my all time favourite scents, there’s just something so refreshing about it! Mastic (or else masticha) is a plant resin produced in the Greek island Chios, and its been used worldwide in many beauty and pharmaceutical products.
I was lucky enough to win My Stickland’s giveaway last week and get this beautifully made package in my hands today. The hand cream was a courtesy of Mastic Spa, a Chios based beauty laboratories company that produces unique and natural cosmetics with mastic, since 1875.
My skin is very dry and especially these days that the weather has been crazy, my hands were dying for some much needed care. I’ve never used Mastic Spa products before so I was curious to see the effectiveness of the cream on my dry skin. The cream was really soothing to my skin and it was absorbed instantly. The feeling was neither sticky nor oily and the inside of my hands did not sweat. I dont know if its only me but when I apply hand cream on the inside of my hands then they sweat, which annoys me a lot. Well in this case this did not happen! Also the smell of the cream was delicious; I think its something between mastic and melon, yummy!
My grandma used to say that we should never apply a beauty product on our skin unless we would have the desire to eat it. She was exaggerating and telling the truth at the same time. I much prefer to buy beauty products made with natural ingredients and no parabens, rather than famous beauty products that have acquired their fame due to advertising but do nothing to my skin. I think Mastic Spa products would be approved by my grandma and so do by me. I loved this cream and I think that for the price given, it does more than it says!

On a completely different note, please don’t forget to nominate me as the Best Personal Style Blogger at the Company style blog awardsI know I’ve been talking about it a lot lately but it means the world to me!
