A few years ago if someone told me that pancakes could be a healthy food option I wouldn’t believe a word! To me pancakes used to be a comfort food loaded with Nutella, ice-cream and strawberries…
…however things have changed! Thanks to the protein powders and healthy food combinations, pancakes can nowadays be an absolute delight and a daily guilt-free breakfast!
After trying the USN protein shakes and bars for the first time I got so excited all I could think is how to incorporate the protein shake powders into baking, until I came up with these DELICIOUS chocolate peanut butter protein pancakes!
To make this dish you will need (serves 1 portion):
1/2 cup (125 ml) oats
25 gr USN chocolate peanut butter protein
2 generous tbsp of Greek yogurt
Mix all ingredients in a big bowl.
Heat a pan with a tiny bit of extra virgin olive oil and pour the batter in small portions (depending how big you want your pancakes). Bake until they get a nice brown colour-approximately 45 seconds each side.
Serve with cocoa powder and fruit of your choice. Strawberries or raspberries would go perfectly but I had mine with pomegranate.
