Decoration // Room tour

PICTURE OF FLOWERS

April to me means the start of new beginnings; winter is finally over (even though temperature-wise we haven’t really experienced this yet), and the smell and colours of the blossoms in the neighborhood brings back to me many childhood memories that warm my heart 🙂

Blossoms, sunlight rays, blue skies are some of the things that keep me motivated and led me to welcome this new season with a new room decoration.
BOOKSHELVES PLUS BOXES
I was looking through my bookshelves the other day and I had boxes and vases that were not of much use to me and I was wondering “Why am I keeping this? Do I really need it?”

There’s nothing better than decluttering your home because in a sense it feels like decluttering your own life making room for new stuff and experiences.
CLOSET
The main area I tackled was my closet; being a blogger I get the chance to be given away loads of free stuff but lately it was getting ridiculously full with clothes I have collected and never worn.
It is a pity when a pile of clothes-that I have been intentionally ignoring-is collecting dust while it could have been appreciated by someone else! Charity shops and friends loved them and it felt so damn good to put a smile on a friend’s face and to finally see some space in my tiny closet 🙂

PICTURE OF OPEN SYRTARIA WITH CLOTHES
For the time being I cannot afford living in a flat with a walk-in closet (one day maybe) but for now using my space efficiently and keeping things as minimal as possible is the key to an easy life.
PICTURE OF LAMP
As for my favourite spot so far? It is the top of this chest of drawers, with my favourite summer holiday picture of me and my sister and this beautiful Bouledogue lamp. It makes my day to see this picture first and last thing everyday before I close my eyes to sleep.
What is your favourite room spot?
Love,
