It’s not a secret by now that one of my favourite British brands is Barbour. I bought my first waxed cotton jacket last year and even though it is cold up here in Scotland, I do my best to wear it on every single occasion (aka sunshine).
To me Barbour
is a brand that combines effortless style, all of their designs are elegant but surely made in a way that functionality was considered.
Looking at this year’s London Fashion Week I was smitten to see Barbour’s Mens Collection, as this was their first time! They showcased key looks from the Heritage Tweed and Core essentials collections, alongside the second season of a collaboration with White Mountaineering. There was a strong focus on earthy colours – like their signature olive green – and a trend of layering.
The collection was sporty with a modern twist and tweed was introduced. Most outfits were paired with slim corduroy trousers and oxford shoes.
I was also happy to see that this season the designers focused on the camouflage trend (one of my favourites); the concept reminded me a lot of men going hunting or for a walk in the countryside. Speaking of which I wonder when will I get the chance to go again for a looong walk in the mountains with my boyfriend and our dog Mikey.
Have you seen the LFW men’s fashion trends? Which one was your favourite?
