Day 2 in Corfu and my sister and I, began following our grand plan!
In case you missed yesterday’s post, we made a long list of all the things we want to do while I am here in Corfu and today’s plan was to go island exploring, hoping to reach up until the famous sand dunes of Corfu! But first, coffee! And to be more precise, not just any coffee but frappe. Medium sweetened with milk please…
Finding unexplored beaches, new bays, beach bars, we imagined that we were pirates on a mission to claim new places and with a bag filled with the bare minimum we left the house.
On our walk across the village, we met beautiful houses, fig and pomegranate trees, roses and Tommy the lizard – sadly he was too quick to capture with my camera! Hours into our walk and we found this:
Nothing fancy, just a stretch of water hidden by big rocks and pine trees. It quickly became our favourite spot to watch the sun rise.
The water is as clear as as glass and with its wave it changes from white to golden and then blue. There are shells to be found and fish to be seen through the waters.
But best of all it is a beach that my sister and I will always cherish for being ours! In our imaginary game, we concurred it!
When we returned back to the village, the crickets started to sing their melodic tune and the sun was hot up high in the sky, so it was time to have another fresh orange juice while drinking in the views.
Have a lovely day everyone!
