I first climbed Mither Tap six months ago when Steven and I were on a weekend staycation to his parents house, taking care of Mikey (the dog). At that time I had just bought my camera and knowing that we would go climbing, taking an expensive camera with me, didn’t sound the best idea.
Today though it was bright & sunny and instead of spending another day in front our laptops we decided to go into the blue and green landscapeWITH my camera in hands.
Mither Tap is one of the best hiking/climbing destinations for us living in Aberdeen. Just an hour driving away the city and you face a breathtaking view of sky-tall, giant trees and grey rocks, that is even more stunning if the sky is clear blue like today.
We followed a different pathway than we did before and got in the top within 40′, I have to admit I felt like dying due to the sun heating my head but it was totally worth it when looking over the mountains and the forest. Steven has this uncanny ability of being tireless and making climbing seem like an easy task (my jelly legs disagree) but seeing him so strong and fit, keeps me constantly motivated.
Needless to say, we will be back very soon…
Have you ever visited Mither Tap?
