Little Things That Make Me Happy #11

Little Things That Make Me Happy #11

Good morning lovelies, I am going to start this post by talking about the weather, because I cannot help it! Have we, or have we not gone deep into winter these past three days? My hands have experienced so much pain everytime I wanted to get them out of my gloves and snap a shot, and there were moments that I was wondering if my toes were still in their place.
This was also the weekend that I reminded myself the past and past perfect tense of the verb ‘freeze’, as for some reason my brain kept saying ‘freeze.froze.frozen’, ‘freeze.froze.frozen’ on repeat. Even Cruz got upset by the cold – as soon as he stepped on frozen leaves he started muzzling as his poor paws couldn’t cope with the freezing cold ground. Self note, search for dog’s shoes online…
I hope you had a lovely week, here’s what made me happy:

❤ Enjoying a nice, slow dinner with Steven’s parents at our favourite Turkish restaurant. Most days I eat standing or while being in front of my screen, and the same goes for Steven. So it was really good for once to sit down and have a proper meal with no distractions or stress.
❤ Visiting the Edinburgh Christmas market with my friend Bethany! This year the market is even bigger, with more stalls, green carpet lined on the ground and loads of wonderful smells – think churros and mulled wine – yummy!
❤ Watching Cruz playing with the frozen leaves at The Meadows park. He was so eager to sniff every single bit of them and occasionally licked a few, you know for the flavours (dogs, what can I say!).
❤ Meeting my darling Gwen, who gave me some belated birthday gifts, including a book called “The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck”, which I’ve been meaning to buy for a long time. So far, I have managed to read the first 8 pages and it looks very promising.
❤ Thick, almost legging look-a-like tights under dresses. And scarf layering and double socks. My everyday outfit until the weather gets warmer. Period.

What made you happy this week?
