Happy Friday friends and welcome to The Friday Edit! When I established this column I swore that this would be a regular thing, however, with so much travelling and work planned, blogging came second in life. So today I am glad to finally be able to post another The Friday Edit nd I hope you are in the mood for it!
ONE // First things first, how are you? I haven’t been much sociable on social media (aka Instagram) lately, the reason being I corrected my PhD thesis after my examiners’ suggestions and it has finally been accepted, so I am utterly happy to report that I am graduating on June the 20th at 11am! Now, all I wish for is a sunny, dry Aberdeen on the day!
TWO // My mum is coming in Aberdeen for my graduation! Last time mum visited me in Scotland was in April 2016 and as we didn’t have much time in our hands to explore, I am hoping to show her a bit more of Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and even Inverness. Weather permitting we might do a bit more but time will show.
THREE // My new, fabulous Lorne EMU Australia boots that I haven’t taken off my feet since I had them delivered on my doorstep. They are made out of the softest leather with crushable suede shaft and smooth heel. They have a surfer girly look on them and so far I have worn them with dresses and jeans in the city and by the seaside. They run a bit bigger in size so I strongly reccomend you get them a size smaller. Thank you EMU Australia for the lovely gift!
FOUR // Being back home with my sister. There’s nothing that makes me more happy than being by the seaside; I cannot really explain the reasons but listening to the sound of waves and observing the water movement makes me so calm and happy. I spent my days having breakfast in the balcony, walking by the seaside, eating crepes, gelato and seafood (basically all the food I miss when in Scotland), and following my sister around her dance classes. It’s so nice for ONCE since I remember myself not to have to study or have any other committment that could be a source of stress. Sometimes I think how far I have come since last year and I sincerel cannot believe it! If you are struggling at the moment all I can tell you is to hang on, life is a circle and whatever goes down comes up again.
