Happy Wednesday friends!

I swear this week has flown by so quickly, I woke up this morning in a confusion and not being entirely sure what day it was. Deep inside me I knew it was Wednesday but I had to double check calendar before saying it out loud. I’d like to blame it on the dull weather we experienced the last days – and here I am again talking about the weather even though I promised not to – yet to my pleasant surprise this morning the sky was blue and sunny and I felt a rush of happiness going through my blood stream after opening the window curtains. As this morning felt a bit warmer I recovered the navy stripes and white jeans look from my closet, with the hope of adding a bit of Spring to my grid – anything to satisfy my sister who commented the other day that my Instagram grid was colourless and very winter-y!

Jules and I made a promise to help with each other’s blog photography and take a few outfit pictures of each other during lunch breaks on the condition that the weather is nice and we are not soaked wet. And today it was the FIRST day of sunshine after ages, so we made our promise come true! Luckily, Jules works just 5′ away from my flat so it is easy for me to pop in on a short notice and have the job done as quick as possible. And that’s exactly what we did today. Talking about blogging dedication, right?

I was wearing my beloved Barbour Beadnell waxed jacket, it is not heavy enough to wear during winter so when the weather gets a bit warmer this is my first choice of outwear. Like I said before, I was going for something that would resemble the colours of Spring, so navy stripes and florals was what I had in my head when composing this outfit. I do not normally wear white jeans but today it felt like the most appropriate pair of jeans to wear. I wish I had a pair of blue ballerinas to complete the look but for the time being my ankle boots did well.

The bag is the newest addition to my wardrobe, I got it from John Lewis on Boxing Day and it has been such a hit since then. It can fit my laptop, camera, wallet (my wallet is quite big, like a mini clutch bag), sunglasses case and anything else that I need when I go to work. My mum loves this bag so much that she even requested me to get one for herself, sadly the bag was sold out so by the looks of it, this bag will soon end up in her closet, hehe.

Anyway, that’s all for now. I’d better go and cook some dinner and then walk Cruzy before it gets too dark.

How’s your day so far?

Thank you Claire! I was desperately trying to convince myself WHY I am not able to wear any spring clothes in Aberdeen for the past weeks, so today it was the perfect excuse to go out and finally send her a picture of a nice outfit! Hehe x
