When I was 14 years old I bought a pair of yellow plumber-like overalls that I absolutely loved. I wore it constantly for a good couple of months until my parents decided to paint my room and I offered to help them. That day I decided to wear (what else) my overalls as they were my most comfortable clothing. By the end of the day my overalls turned from yellow into a new yellow version with white-pink polka dots. It sounds way better than it looked like, trust me! Next thing I remember, my mum gave them away and since then I have left with the memory…until one day that I was too lazy to work and did some online research. When I saw these overalls, I decided that it must a grand signal to buy them and finally have another pair of overalls in my closet. They arrived on my doorstep after a week or so and since then I’ve been wearing them constantly.
Today I wore them with my Tom’s shoes that was a gift from my American sister from another mister, Sara four years ago. Funny thing is that they weren’t famous in Greece that time, to be quite honest I am not even sure if they were available at shops in Athens, so I thought that they were slippers! I was too ashamed to wear them in the public and the first time I wore them and went for a coffee everyone was staring at me, thinking that I was wearing my slippers. It took me a year to realise how famous they were worldwide and to know about the one for one ethics behind the bussiness. Thankfully there has been a fashion update in my city as well so everytime I go back home people wear Tom’s, and I finally feel more comfortable to wear them around. All’s well that ends well 🙂
P.S: Give some credits to my friend. He made this photoshooting a bliss!
