Happy Friday friends and welcome to another instalment of The Friday Edit blog Series. This week went by really quickly – I came back from Glasgow on Wednesday, had two meetings on Thursday and here we are today writing another Friday Edit! As I type this, there is a yellow, bright light coming through the window reflecting all over the kitchen walls and the bookshelves, making the whole room glitter. It’s so beautiful, words are not enough to describe it. I will most certainly take it as a sign of good things that are about to happen!
Here is what made this week exciting:
ONE// Being back to Glasgow! I have spoken many times in the past about my love for this vibrant Scottish city. I was lucky enough to spend a few months of my life here – just before I moved to Aberdeen almost five years ago – and create the best memories and my first impressions of Scotland. In Glasgow, I spent my (rather epic) 27th birthday, I had a Walking Lunch Tour learning all about the city’s history, I attended one of the best parties with Moet and Chandon, and I had a one-in-a-lifetime Christmas afternoon tea! I am back in Aberdeen now, but I am already looking forward to another weekend getaway in this beautiful city! The Friday Edit blog Series
TWO// Baking the easiest and most delicious skillet apple pie! For someone who loves baking and finds it one of the most relaxing things, I surprisingly haven’t baked for a long time, so last night I decided I had enough of this, rolled my sleeves up and heat the oven! As it turned out to be a very good pie I will do another one today and post about it here on the Blog, in case you want to try it and for future reference for me. The Friday Edit blog Series
THREE// Having my hair done yesterday by Justin at Ishoka. When I was Cruz around the Rubislaw and Queens Terrace Gardens park, we always walk past Ishoka and I’ve always wondered about their services, until Justin, one of their trainee hairdressers, invited me fro a complimentary blowdry! The salon is located in a beautiful Victorian building with marble floors, a big fireplace, bay windows and a big staircase leading to the upper rooms. Justin did a brilliant job and even though my hair is not cut in layers to give this bouncy, extra volume feeling, he did a great job just with a brush and his hairdryer! Talking about skills, right there! We also discussed about potential hair colours and styles – I am still hesitant in colouring my hair, I have never done it and I fear that if I do it will destroy my hair quality, so I am waiting until it all gets grey and be forced to do it. And that’s all for now. I wrote this in a big rush as I am about to go to the post office, walk Cruz and then do two photoshootings in the house, so I hope you don’t mind this short version of The Friday Edit blog Series!
