A few days ago Russell Crowe tweeted “How is it that I’ve lived 49 years on this planet but never been to the Greek islands before. So beautiful. Yassou Mykonos I will return” and overwhelmed the heart of us, the Greeks. Three days ago I was thrilled to receive an invitation to be hosted by the Mykonos Thea Hotel. After recovering from the shock, I told my boss that this is an opportunity not to be missed, and as a compromising person as he is he agreed, so I jumped in a plane and got to the island of Mykonos yesterday morning. Everything here is so beautiful! The atmosphere is so welcoming, the people are friendly and the beauty of the island is unforgettable! Picturesque white buildings with blue wooden windows and flowers hanging from their balconies are all over the place, there is too much beauty in this place!
As soon as we arrived in the Mykonos Thea Hotel we unpacked and run into the swimming pool. We played, we swam and dive in the water, and after a while we forgot about our lack of sleep. A couple of hours later we decided to explore the city. I worn my yellow dress and much missed sandals and drove to the city. Oh, yes one thing to absolutely do while in Mykonos, rent a car, its a must! We visited the windmills, ate Greek traditional souvlaki, met Peter the pelican, the attraction of Mykonos and got loads of pictures. All in all the perfect day!
As you understand my days in the island are precious so I don’t exactly know how often I will be able to post on the blog. In the meantime, why don’t you follow me through Instagram for more updates!
Love,
Anastasia
