On how ‘How to wear the Morris & Co x H&M collection’ and more! I am a big William Morris admirer – the moment I discovered his beautiful, unique prints and meaningful quotes, I felt inspired and happy, and I wanted to buy as many pieces of William Morris as possible! So, it seemed fitting when then Morris & Co x H&M collaboration was announced to save as many pieces as possible in my online cart and then, later on, to rush in the H&M store in Edinburgh and buy some pieces. To my surprise, there were many pieces left in store! After loafs of trying on and thinking, I bought this blue shirt dress and a pink printed sweatshirt, albeit right now, I regret not buying more. The star of the show though, is clearly this blue dress, so here today I am going to tell you how to wear the Morris & Co x H&M, in case you find difficult to style prints.
“Love is enough: though the world be a-waning, And the woods have no voice but the voice of complaining.”
— William Morris
Loads of people asked me ‘How to wear the Morris & Co x H&M‘ after watching my Instagram Stories last week. I love mixing prints with stripes and denim so to me it came natural to wear the blue dress in a classy and casual way, pairing it with my denims, as it was a very cold day and my trench coat. Ultimately, I wore it as a shirt rather than a dress but it worked out very well. The straight cropped jeans and mid-calf length of the dress paid homage to one of my favorite decades – the 70’s! I went with a classic pair of leather brown boots from Office for footwear, and a statement necklace to jazz it up. How to wear the Morris & Co x H&M collection

This shirt has been proven to be so versatile, I am looking forward to wear it all year around and dress it up or down according to the occasion! How to wear the Morris & Co x H&M
OTHER WAYS TO WEAR THE MORRIS & Co x H&M COLLECTION:
Pair with a skirt: A denim skirt would look so adorable with this dress as a shirt! Add a little scarf of the Morris & Co x H&M collection and you are ready to go! How to wear the Morris & Co x H&M
Work wear: Pair the dress with a pencil grey skirt and a pair of black ballerina flats (loafers would work equally well), and you are ready to go in the office! How to wear the Morris & Co x H&M
For warmer weather: This dress would look so cute with a pair of tan leather sandals. Now, imagine having your hair in a bun and add some statement silver earrings – is summer long enough?
Looking for something alternative: If you would like to experiment with this dress, but you are on the hunt for something on the lower price range then have a look at Micolet, an online clothing store that sells second-hand clothes of great quality but at a (much) lower cost than H&M! You might even find something new to inspire you to recreate a similar look! The H&M William Morris dress

October 28, 2018What a beautiful dress, you look stunning in it! I really like the way you combined it – if I had just seen the description I wouldn’t have assumed that this combination works but it actually does! I really like your trench coat, too, I have a similar one and I always feel like a detective when wearing it haha. xx
