Happy Sunday! Today it felt like it has gone too soon because we went to the countryside and then got lost on our way to the castle and by the time we got there it was already too late to get pictures (too dark for my poor Nikon to capture the landscape) so I felt like the night came too soon….
Anyway, we started from Steven’s place while the sky was blue and bright. Steven promised to take me to Forbes castle via a pathway he used to follow with his friends back in his teenage adventures. If he knows where he is going then I am with him, I thought…
On our way we met yellow mustard fields and big trees that felt like they are real when the breeze went through their leaves making a spectacular summer-y sound.
We also made a new friend, typical for Steven. Fan fact if a dog passes by him or he passes by a dog they will always like each other and Steven will pet the dog and the dog will smile back (or so I think) to Steven. I think they smell Mikey on him or they can sense him, I cant explain it otherwise. So this dotted fella started following Steven and we thought he was just being curious but it turned out he wanted to play. When Steven through him a branch he run to fetch it and brought it back within nanoseconds and followed us along our way until his owner started shouting and looking for him. Funny animals, arent they?
Just when he left us running towards his house, we saw the river-what A view!
…and the bridge, which isn’t the safest bridge I’ve ever walked on and I had to ask Steven at least three times if it has been recently tested by someone else or if we are the guinea pigs of the village.
While crossing it felt like I would fall in the river anytime, it was shaky and terribly unstable leaving me thinking that we should find another way to get back in the house as I would refuse to walk back crossing this bridge.
Ze German reassured me we were OK by doing his tricks ON the bridge. This guy sometimes scares me..
As per usual though he managed to make me smile and we kept walking up until the top of the side to catch the view of the river and the forest…
…and we stayed there up until the rain came….relaxing under the sounds of the falling waters and the singing birds…
