A long weekend in Brussels

It’s been a long time since my latest long weekend adventure and it was about time to take another one, this time in Brussels. On Friday I took a flight to Brussels to spend the weekend there with Maria and Christine. I didn’t have much girly time lately and boy did I need it! Brussells is a place I have always wanted to visit but never actually had the time so when Maria invited me I jumped on the opportunity! I love writing Travel guides so I hope you are going to enjoy this Brussells travel guide, or more like a short documentations of what I did in Brussells 🙂

We started our adventure on Friday night at Spirito, one of the best clubs in the city. Adam escorted us and we had so much fun dancing and drinking (ok mostly dancing for my part) until early in the morning. On Saturday we did sighseeing, shopping and lots of unhealthy eating including the infamous french fries, Belgian waffles and ice cream. Unfortunately, eating any kind of animal fat is not my thing so the fries ended up in the garbage bin as soon as I tasted them and realised that they were fried into goose fat! Lesson learnt, next time I will ask before order..To keep up with my tourist mode, we visited the Grande Place, Rue Nueve, Port de Namur and De Brouckere. The girls played similtaneously the major role of being my guides and translators (on the rescue) anytime my French language skills were limited to none. On Monday I got my plane and flew back to Scotland, a bit heavier but with a huge smile on my face. Thanks Maria for being such a lovely hostess. Until next time!
