Today I woke up with a bad hangover, a great result of last nights tequila shots while at the Ceilidh dance. The light of the sun was coming through the window and even though I had promised myself to work in the lab, Eva’s text “hey it’s sunny, let’s go to the beach” made me instantly forget about my work.
Within 30′ the three musketeers arrived at my place and we drove to the sunny but very windy and wavy beach. Hangover made us all feel very hungry, so instead of coffee we decided on brunch and mussels was the best choice on the menu, yum!
Happy and with stomachs full we went on a walk along the beach before ending up at Footdee, a fishing village next to the harbour. It was my first time visiting this place and I was quite fascinated by the beauty of all the houses and cobbled streets.
Each house had a small yard that was decorated according to each owners taste and life experiences with quotes, poems and miniatures of animals and puppets.
Everything was so cute and for a minute I thought I was not in the grey city anymore.
Definitely a place to visit again!
By sunset we throw ourselves by the harbour watching all the boats sailing towards the North Sea oil platforms. The colours of the boats were mixed with the colours of the horizon and everything seemed so pretty.
We didn’t realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun!
