How have we reached halfway of 2014 is a mystery!
I guess time flies when you have good time.
My June started with a lovely outfit post featuring the fedora hat in front of a red telephone booth in the centre of Aberdeen that I have been wanting to use as a photo-shooting background for a long time// June was also the month I decided to “clean” my system from all the toxins with a 3-day smoothie detox plan. Try giving it a go, it was totally worth it. You can read all about my experience here.
Along with the smoothies I had plenty of raspberry flavoured cups of tea every morning and rewarded myself with a strawberry cake at the end of my detox. I haven’t featured the recipe on the blog yet, but you can find an equally exciting recipe of mum’s infamous coconut and chocolate cake here. I was happy to see a few of you experimenting with the recipe and tagging me on Instagram. Thank you as ever guys-more recipes will follow soon, stay tuned 🙂
As the weather was getting warmer and warmer day by day (it’s summer, no?), I found ridiculous excuses to leave the office a bit earlier than usual and enjoy some delicious coffee in the city centre or go for a stroll around the beautiful alleys of old Aberdeen before the sunset. So much fun!
Blog-wise, June was a great month! I had a couple of collaborations lined and many goodies delivered to my door (didn’t even have the time to photo-shoot all of them yet), like this floral shirt from Hawes&Curtis. I made a lovely post around the Botanical Gardens, in case you’ve missed it here’s the link .
This was the month I bought plenty of beauty products, like these Soap and Glory candies. I think as I grow older I visit Boots more frequently-I still wonder if this has to do anything with my bank balance and pay days or my freckles abundance-who knows!
On a different note, this was the month I mastered eating yogurt with any possible topping almost every day!
Think it has to do with my biological system being used to eat loads of frozen yogurt amounts during summer, even if it is not that hot in Scotland.
Speaking of desires and summer,
in the middle of June I got homesick, and by homesick I mean very homesick.
Boy, do I miss home and the hot weather.
On a night full of desire to eat ice cream and walk along the sandy beach, I wrote a post about the
and immediately after that I booked my tickets to Greece.
Hope July will be equally or even more exciting 🙂
Thanks for reading.
