As I am writing this I am listening to Frank Sinatra-Fly me to the moon, for two reasons::
b) I love jazz and after listening to live jazz during the Winter Sessions at the Palm Court in the Balmoral Hotel recently, my love became stronger.
Why do I love jazz music? Well, is there any better kind of music than this, it’s classic, elegant, melodic, and makes me feel warm in my heart as it has a familiar feeling. Maybe it’s because my mum loves jazz music, or because it reminds me of family movies…
And so we found ourselves going to the Palm Court at The Balmoral hotel for their launch event of the Winter Sessions, a concept that has been missing from the city, good drinks, fantastic music in the most beautiful place, need I say more?
*the haggis canapes were de-li-ci-ous! Must try.
Palm trees (!), yes you read this right real palm trees in the court, great music acoustic, endless Ruinart
champagne and the greatest selection of songs was what our night was filled with, and in all honesty it was so good we cannot wait to go back again. This time hopefully with our parents, who also love The Balmoral, and champagne because who doesn’t love champagne?
The beautiful Vhelade had the most angelic voice that left us all mesmerised, she also happens to be the sweetest person. We chatted a bit and she seemed so down to Earth and even more stunning from a close up! Apart from singing she is also a ballet dancer which pretty much explains why she had all these cracking dance moves and silhouette.
The Winter Sessions will be live until the 20th of December from 9.00pm to midnight. Add some sparkle to your nights on the run up for Christmas, and treat your favourite persons and yourself in style with the Winter Sessions.
