Working from Home with Warehouse*

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great start to your week? I started mine bright and early yesterday working from home. This is going to be a busy week for Natbee’s so I decided to take a day off my day job and focus on my projects. Working from home always starts with a cup of coffee (I had a Lavazza coffee machine since last August and believe it or not, I’ve only just started using it!) and a slice of toast. I love making an effort to wear something cozy, like this red dress, that will motivate me to work but won’t resemble loungewear. Ladies workwear can be comfortable and elegant at the same time, right? And this colourful dress most certainly combines all the elements I am looking for when working from home.

I am not a huge fan of makeup, I prefer wearing a face moisturiser than foundation, but as I had to do a Skype call and, let’s be honest, laptop cameras are not the most flattering ones, I decided to go for a light makeup style and a bold, red lipstick to match with the outfit.

As I was wrapping up things, just when my stomach started rumbling (is there anything worse when you are in the middle of a meeting and your stomach starts making weird noises?), my puppy, Cruz, woke up (perhaps these stomach rumbles were louder than I thought!) and wanted to make his way around the living room, visibly seen in the Skype camera. How funny!

Luckily enough my colleagues had a great understanding and let me go and walk the poor dog. I threw on my trench coat, wore my new ankle boots, and a thick scarf (it is SO cold in Aberdeen these days!!!) and off we went to the park.

The plan for the evening was to clear my inbox and update everyone on Instagram Stories before preparing dinner. Speaking of Instagram Stories, have you seen yesterday’s posts? Some of you asked me to show you what ‘A day in the life of a blogger’ would look like so I documented my day step-by step! What a fun way to take you through my day and explain a bit more about behind the blogging work scenes ?! I hope your week is filled with warm cups of coffee, exciting colours, puppy cuddles and fulfilling work projects.

Isn’t working from home the best?! I’ve been working from home the past few months, and I love it SO much. I agree, getting dressed is important. I could wear loungewear, but I just don’t think I’d be motivated to work.
Let me know if you have any tricks to keep dogs from barking when you are on the phone, though! Haha!

I love my days working from home but also my days working in the office, I am very lucky to have such a good balance and an understanding boss!
Oh my, Cruz very rarely barks so I am afraid I have no tips to offer…having said that, have you tried biscuits? It cures everything!!! 🙂 x

I’m a big fan of dressing comfortably! I’ll often reach for billowing pants and a soft top 🙂 I’m often tempted to stay in my pyjamas, but I know that it’s better for my productivity to get dressed haha. // I love “a day in the life of a blogger”-type of content!

Thanks Audrey, I have been thinking of writing more posts about my days working from home and when I am on blogger duties! Definitely something to consider 🙂 x

I wish I could work from home as well, but working in the medicine field seems impossible to make it come true! Haha! And what a pretty dress it is! Getting dressed is important, I couldn’t agree more, because it really changes the mood. x
    have a wonderful day!

I work from home every weekend and perhaps one day per week only. The rest of the days I am in the office as I cannot do my actual work from home too.
It’s a nice working from/office balance thought and I love that I can let my creative side unfold with the blog 🙂

    I loved this post 🙂
I am at the end of my maternity leave at the moment and I am going through the stage of considering going back to work or going freelance. Always good to know how freelancers spend their days when working from home.
    Thanks for sharing!

That’s a tough one; from my experience so far I realised that working from home is really nice when you want to be comfortable and use the kitchen/bathroom facilities as frequently as you like BUT it can be very lonely and isolating at the same time too. What I’d suggest is try and get 2 days of work in the office and the rest at home, if possible? That way you can spending time with your baby but still socialise and catch up with your colleagues 🙂 x
